Do I have to train it or set anything up?
No. Install it, allow the microphone once, and start talking. No voice training, no profiles, no settings to learn.
Does it work in every app?
Yes. It types wherever your cursor is: email, Slack, Word, Google Docs, your browser, and more.
Does it record or save my voice?
No. Audio is turned into text on your computer and immediately discarded. No audio is ever saved or sent anywhere, and dictation works offline. Here’s why we can’t hear you.
How do I know when it’s listening?
The mic light on the little on-screen pill is on whenever it’s listening. Need privacy for a meeting? One click pauses listening for an hour.
How do I fix a mistake?
Say “scratch that” to undo the last thing you said, or “cancel” to throw away the whole dictation. Punctuation is added automatically.
Do I have to say “thanks”?
Say whichever sign-off you like: “thanks”, “that's all, babe”, “send it, gorgeous”. Or just press the hotkey again.
What languages does SayPep support?
Today SayPep dictates in English. Its speech model (Whisper) can recognize about 100 languages, but the app is currently set to English and its voice commands and wake words are English-only. A language setting is planned. Languages

How fast does the text show up?
Right after you say “thanks”, usually within a second or two on a recent computer.
Is my voice sent to the cloud?
No. Speech is turned into text on your own computer. We only count how many words you used so the free plan works.
What happens when I hit 2,000 free words?
Dictation pauses until your words reset next week. Or upgrade to Pro and never think about it again.
How do I cancel?
Go to your account and click “Cancel subscription”. One click. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
