Common questions
Is SayPep safe?
SayPep turns speech into text on your own computer, doesn’t upload or save audio, shows a mic light whenever it’s listening, and can be paused for 60 minutes with one click. It needs the Microphone permission (to hear you) and, on Mac, Accessibility (to type into other apps).
Does SayPep record my voice?
No. Audio is processed on your device and immediately discarded. No audio is saved on your computer or sent to TALON IND, LLC.
How much does SayPep cost?
Free for 2,000 words per week. SayPep Pro is $9 per month or $79 per year for unlimited words. Cancel anytime.
Does SayPep work offline?
Yes, dictation works without internet. The app checks your plan online at least once every 7 days.

First time opening? A one-time warning is normal
The app isn’t signed with Apple or Microsoft yet (that’s in progress), so your computer asks you to confirm the first time. You only do this once.
Mac: open the downloaded file and drag SayPep to Applications. If macOS says it can’t be opened, right-click (or Control-click) SayPep in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. On newer macOS, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
Windows: if a blue “Windows protected your PC” box appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
