Voice dictation for Mac
Say “Hey beautiful”, talk, say “thanks”. Your words are typed wherever your cursor is: email, docs, chat, your browser. Speech is turned into text on your Mac.
Get started
- Download SayPep for Mac and drag it to Applications.
- Open it and allow the Microphone and Accessibility permissions (so it can type for you).
- Say “Hey beautiful” and start talking.
Requirements
macOS 13 Ventura or newer. Apple silicon (M1 or later) recommended for the fastest results; Intel Macs work but are slower.
Hotkey
Prefer a key? Hold the hotkey shown in Settings (Fn, or Ctrl + Cmd) instead of using the wake word.
Works in
Mail, Outlook, Gmail, Slack, Teams, Word, Google Docs, Notion, your code editor, and any text box in any browser.

First time opening? A one-time warning is normal
The app isn’t signed with Apple or Microsoft yet (that’s in progress), so your computer asks you to confirm the first time. You only do this once.
Mac: open the downloaded file and drag SayPep to Applications. If macOS says it can’t be opened, right-click (or Control-click) SayPep in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. On newer macOS, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
Windows: if a blue “Windows protected your PC” box appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
