Phone app “Notify me” list
If you ask us to tell you when the phone app launches, we store your email and phone type, send you one email when it launches, then delete your address. We don’t use it for marketing.
We can’t hear you. Here’s why.
- Your voice never leaves your computer. Speech is turned into text on your device. We don’t have servers that receive audio.
- No audio is ever saved. The sound is processed and thrown away. There are no recordings, on your computer or ours.
- It works offline. Turn off Wi-Fi and dictation still works, which shows nothing is being sent.
- You can see when it listens. The mic light is on whenever SayPep is listening, and one click pauses it for an hour.
- What we do get: your email (to sign in), and a count of how many words you used (not the words) so the free plan works.
Your voice stays on your computer. Audio and transcribed text are processed locally and are never sent to us.
What we collect: your email address (for sign-in and receipts); weekly word counts (not the words themselves) to run the free plan; device names you sign in on (to enforce the device limit); an anonymous random install ID and the date it was active (for usage statistics); download counts.
Payments: handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. We never see your full card number. See Paddle’s privacy policy.
Email: sign-in links are sent through our email provider [Resend].
Your rights: you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at support@saypep.com. Deleting your account removes your email, devices and usage counts; Paddle and we may keep payment records as tax law requires. We reply within 30 days (45 for California requests) and won’t treat you differently for asking.
California (CCPA/CPRA): we collect the categories listed above (identifiers such as email and install ID; commercial information such as purchases; usage counts) only to run the service. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don’t use sensitive personal information. California residents may request to know, delete or correct their data, or appoint an authorized agent, using the email above.
Retention: account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete it. Anonymous install statistics are kept in aggregate.
Children: SayPep isn’t directed to children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Marketing email: only if you opt in; every email has an unsubscribe link.
