It doesn’t respond to “Hey beautiful”
Check the right microphone is selected in Settings and that the wake word switch is on. Speak at normal volume, a little closer to the mic. You can always use the hotkey instead.
Text doesn’t appear in my app
On Mac, check Accessibility is on for SayPep (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility). If it’s already on, turn it off and on again, then restart SayPep. Click into the text box first so the cursor is there.
It keeps listening after I finish
Say a sign-off clearly at the end: “thanks”, “that's all, babe”, “send it, gorgeous” (or “thank you”). Say “cancel” to throw away what you said.
It typed the wrong thing
Say “scratch that” to undo the last part, then say it again.
I need it to stop listening for a while
Click the pill and choose Pause for 1 hour. The mic light turns off.
It says I’m out of free words
Free words reset every week. Your account page shows when. Or upgrade to Pro for unlimited.
“Too many devices”
Free works on 1 computer and 1 phone at a time; Pro on up to 3 computers and 3 phones. Sign out on a device you don’t use (or remove it in the app) to free a slot. Your weekly words are shared across all your devices.
